Must be the stripes

It’s not every day that I get a compliment, let alone a really good one (or two).  This morning I was stopped in the hall by one of my female colleagues, and she was like, wow, look at you!  You have lost a lot of weight!  (Which I haven’t, but whatever. It must just be the shirt I’m wearing.)  And then she said something about how she loves my haircut, and that she thinks that I’m just so gorgeous.  I couldn’t believe it.  It was so nice and unexpected.

I’m not blogging about this to make myself feel better or to convince you all that, “see, other people think I’m beautiful, why don’t you??” like a needy annoying girl… no. ISH.  I just wanted to write about it so that I don’t forget about it.  I need all the confidence I can get.  And like I’ve said before, I have to remember to not be afraid to compliment someone when I feel the urge, because who doesn’t like a compliment?  It’s always nice to have someone say something nice about you.  Even if it is a 50-year old married lady rather than a 20-something attractive, tall, single, Christian male with a good smile… but whatev. :)
